Your are about to improve (and potentially save!) the life of one lucky pup, as well as to immeasurable improve your own happiness! Every state page here on Local Dog Rescues contains a complete list of all the local rescue organizations that we have identified in each state. We try to keep the website as up to date as possible! Please email us with any questions. For walk-ins, we will not guarantee that any of the dogs on our site will be available for viewing. We have limited collars and slip leads for sale. We only hold dogs for same day appointments! Please bring a valid form of ID and a MARTINGALE COLLAR, LEASH AND SLIP LEAD- if you don’t have these items, you will have to go to the store before taking a dog home. Please be ready to adopt in the very near future. We do allow walk-in’s but you will need to do an application, which can be completed on site, prior to us bringing any dogs out to meet you. We do not adopt out littermates to the same family. We do adopt out of state but adopters will be required to drive to our facility in Illinois for a meet and greet and the dog that they apply for MUST already be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption.
